It’s that time of year again; when you start thinking about everything Christmas. Halloween and Melbourne Cup are done and dusted and if you embrace American culture you only have Thanksgiving to go before the biggest seasonal day of the year comes around. We love Christmas at Peekaboo, especially the way it makes kids so happy and of course, for many, it’s because it means it’s time for Christmas presents! Whether you wrap them or throw them in gift bags it’s often hard to distinguish which particular ones are from Santa when they’re all piled under the tree and that’s where Santa Sacks come in super-handy. Here’s our roundup of some of the cutest and of course functional Santa Sacks we could find that are a bit unique and a bit quirky and most importantly loved by Peekaboo.
1. Personalised Love Christmas Santa Sack
Based on its price I would have to say this may be one of the most luxurious Santa Sacks out there but there is no denying how gorgeous it is. Measuring 45cm wide and 65cm tall this 100% cotton sack is fully lined with hand scrubbed calico, turned over at the top and finished with a large wooden button. It is personalised with the addition of a handprinted white washed solid wood heart and embellished with a wool felt heart and cinnamon stick. Made in Britain it can be purchased for approximately AUD140 plus delivery dependent on exchange at Santa Sacks.
2. Santa Sack by Needle & I
Produced by a collaboration by Needle & I and The Art Room, this gorgeous range of Santa Sacks is one of my favourites. Needle and I’s collaboration last year was fab but they’ve done it again with their latest concoction. These personalised Santa Sacks are available for approximately 67AUD plus shipping. The sacks are fully cotton lined, with a linen exterior and feature the custom fabric with hand-screenprinted design along the bottom with your child’s initial hand appliquéd in boiled wool. There are four designs available with complementary Christmas stockings to match and all can be purchased from Needle and I’s Etsy store.
3. Funky Cool Threads Santa Bag
If you’re looking for a Santa bag that’s a bit more minimalist, huge and really practical then this personalised Santa Bag from Funky Cool Threads is probably what you’re looking for. Screenprinted onto a giant calico laundry bag measuring 85cm high by 60cm wide it has a great carry strap so your kids can sling it over their shoulder like Santa and a drawstring closure. You can purchase one of these great bags for approximately 48AUD plus shipping via their Etsy shop here.
4. The Reindeer Express Santa Sack
Hessian Santa Sacks have been all the rage over the last few years and The Santa Sack Co in England has a great collection. One of my favourites is the Reindeer Express bag but there is a large selection of styles and they are a good size measuring 50cm X 80cm. They retail for approximately 33AUD dependent on exchange rates plus shipping and you can order them direct from The Santa Sack Co.
5. Geometric Christmas Storage Sack
If you’re after a non-traditional style of Santa Sack then look no further than the divine range of paper storage sacks on offer from O + Mighty. The clever clogs behind O + Mighty handpaints every bag herself and I have long been an admirer of her work, particularly her amazing Watermelon Storage Bag. The Christmas range features this geometric design available in several colourways plus a snowflake and Christmas bauble design. Made and shipped from Western Australia make sure you order early as the artisan nature of these means they take a couple of weeks to arrive on your doorstep. The Christmas Storage Sacks are 30AUD each plus shipping, measure 50cm by 70cm and you can get them direct from O+ Mighty.
6. Peppermint Fizz Hessian Santa Sacks
I first discovered these gorgeous bags a few years ago when I was searching for Santa Sacks to sell via Peekaboo and the lovely ladies at Peppermint Fizz were a delight to deal with. These hessian Santa Sacks are handmade in England with amazing detail and they really are a fabulous creation. There are several designs available but be quick as they sell out fast. They start at approximately 96AUD dependent on exchange plus shipping and you can order them from the Peppermint Fizz Etsy store.

11. Colour In Christmas Paper Sack
It’s no secret in my family that I am a colouring addict so when I discovered this most awesome Christmas sack my kids knew they would have to listen to me rave on about it for hours. How cool is it! The thing I like most is you can give it to your kids to colour before Christmas making them feel the anticipation and you don’t need to colour ALL of it – you could make it a work in progress and get them to colour a bit each year. This fantastic Santa Sack is made from heavy weight 3 ply paper and measures 55cm by 85cm. You can get it from Not on the High Street but the shipping is pretty exxy and we’re exploring options to make them available here so stay tuned.
12. Personalised Reindeer Santa Sack

You can get yours for 64.95AUD plus shipping direct from Honeysuckle & Lime’s Etsy store.
14. Merry Christmas Mint Santa Sack
I’m not usually one to go for mass market chain store type products when it comes to things like Santa Sacks but I make an exception this year for the Adairs range of Christmas bags. They’ve got a couple of really cute designs and if you are looking for an affordable option then you should take a look. Their Santa Sacks measure 50cm by 70cm and are made from a polycotton. They retail for 19.95AUD plus shipping and you can buy them in store or at Adairs online.
Your little elves will love every one on our list of 14 Santa Sacks and you’ll love them because they’re a bit different and you won’t find them under every tree. If you’ve never used Santa Sacks or gift bags before then give them a go and see how they add to the excitement. My kids love carrying theirs around for days after Christmas and always complain when I make them pack them away for next year.
